Hi, I’m Destiny, the face behind the camera. First and foremost, thank you for being here. Whether you stumbled across my page while searching for a photographer, supporting a small business, or simply browsing through photos, I’m so glad you found your way here.
I’m a Midwest girl born, raised, and based in Fremont, Nebraska, where sunsets stretch wide across open skies and life tends to move just a little slower. That slower pace is something I carry into my photography. I believe the best moments are the candid ones. The in-between laughs, windblown hair, tiny hand squeezes, nervous smiles before the ceremony, toddlers running wild during family photos, and all the beautifully imperfect moments that end up meaning the most later.
Photography became more than just taking pictures for me. It became a way to preserve all the smiles and giggles- the type you can hear by looking back at the photos.
I’m also a mom to an amazing little girl who completely changed the way I see the world. Becoming a parent made me realize just how quickly life moves. One minute you’re rocking them to sleep, and the next you’re looking back at photos wondering where the time went. That perspective shaped my approach to photography in such a deep way. I don’t just want to give people pretty photos. I want to give them memories that feel alive years from now.
One of the questions I get asked most often is where my business name came from, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things to share. My business is named after my daughter, Berkley. Becoming a mom changed my entire perspective on life, love, memories, and the importance of preserving moments before they quietly become memories. The “Bloom” represents growth, new seasons, and all the beautiful stages of life we move through. Together, the name became something deeply personal to me, and that meaning pours into every session I photograph.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me spending time with family, editing photos late into the night, planning my next vacation, or staying up way too late watching reality TV. If there’s a beach involved, I’m already halfway packed. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with traveling to Mexico, especially the vibrant culture, warm weather, ocean air, and wildlife. I’ve always had a huge love for exotic animals and nature, which honestly fuels my creativity.
At home, life is a little chaotic in the best way. Alongside my cat-Simba, I also have four lizards, which usually surprises people when they hear it. Reptiles, travel, creativity, photography, motherhood, late-night editing sessions, and reality tv basically make up my personality at this point.
Creativity has always been part of who I am, and photography became the perfect place for all of it to come together.
One thing I really value is making people feel comfortable. I know being in front of a camera can feel awkward or intimidating, especially if you’ve never had professional photos taken before. You do not need to know how to pose or “be photogenic.” That’s my job. I’ll guide you through everything while still leaving room for genuine moments to happen naturally.
My style is warm, emotional, timeless, and true to you. I love earthy tones, golden light, authentic connection, candid moments, and galleries that feel like memories. Whether I’m photographing a growing family, a graduation, a special engagement, a baptism, or a quiet little moment that deserves to be remembered, I approach every session with intention and heart.
More than anything, I want the experience to feel personal. I never want clients to feel like “just another booking.” Every story matters to me because these moments matter to you.
